The New Student Union Building at Vancouver’s University of British Columbia (UBC)

The new Student Union Building designed by DIALOG and B+H Architects is the latest – and is the most ambitious project to date. With a plethora of uses and spaces – from a theatre to office and retail space to a rooftop garden and daycare – it’s almost more of a mini-city than a building. Our 1C Bar Stools were used in the project in the UBC-SUB restaurant Perch.


Surreal Urban Photos by Chuck Anderson

Chuck Anderson is a Chicago based photographer who manipulates photos to create surrealistic works of art. He works under the moniker NoPattern, and has done work for Vans, Reebok, Mountain Dew, Microsoft, Warner Brothers, and ESPN. Chuck is currently is offering a course on photography through Skillshare called Everyday Surrealism: Creating Art from Photos.


Farm House in the Hamptons

Interior architect Francis D’Haene of D’Apostrophe Design is the designer of Barn House, a beautiful home renovated from a faux barn that was originally built in the 1980s. The house is a mix of old and new. The exterior is made from a salvaged 200-year-old barn while almost nothing from the original interior was used.

Markthal Rotterdam Now Open

Markthal Rotterdam, The Netherlands' first covered food market and housing development, officially opened this week after five years of construction. Designed by Architect firm MVDRV, the market has space for 96 produce stalls, 20 retail units, and 228 apartment units inside the 40-metre arched roof. The mural of fruits and vegetables, by artists Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam, is attached to acoustic panels inside the arch and is designed to reduce sound in the building.


Bell & Oak - Fine Leather Goods Packaging

Two Arms Inc. are the creators of the Bell & Oak branding and packaging. At the corner of Bell and Oak street in Denton, Texas is Weldon’s Saddle shop, where Clint Wilkson’s grandfather has hand crafted leather since 1957. Bell & Oak leather goods is dedicated to his grandfather’s craft of building saddles. All of the products are made using the same processes and tools that have been in his family for decades.
